A Nari Kunjar Heirloom in Red and Blue
Step into the world of Patola, where every thread is dyed before it is woven, and the pattern lives inside the yarn itself long before it ever touches the loom.
This exquisite Rajkot Patola saree is woven in the traditional Nari Kunjar design, in a striking red and blue colour combination, crafted in pure handwoven Patola silk. Rendered through the pure single ikat handloom technique, it unfolds in a dense diagonal trellis of diamond compartments across a vivid royal blue field, each enclosing miniature elephants, peacocks and stylised figures in gold, teal and cream, bordered by a rich maroon-red floral trellis and a radiant orange-gold zari pallu.
Rows of miniature white elephants, teal peacocks and small golden figures interlock within a dense diamond lattice across the royal blue body, in the intricate small-scale rhythm of the Nari Kunjar tradition. The border deepens into maroon-red, patterned with a fine floral trellis of pink blossoms, before the pallu opens into a rich floral panel scattered with small coral blooms and finally a broad, radiant orange-gold zari band. Each miniature motif takes shape through the painstaking resist-dyeing of the weft yarns before weaving, a pure single ikat technique that calls for exceptional precision to bring such fine, small-scale detail into crisp focus on the loom. The saree is finished with a fringe of hand-tied deep maroon silk tassels, strung along a delicate crocheted edge.

Working at such a small scale calls for exceptional precision, as even the finest motifs must be matched crisply on the loom.

The Artful Finish - Ready to wear, with fall neatly done. The pallu is completed with hand-knotted netted silk tassels, adding a graceful final flourish.
Preserving Your Heritage - To honor the artistry of your Patola, cradle it in soft cotton or breathable muslin, ensuring it is refolded every few months to keep the silk supple and free of permanent creases. Guard this treasure from the reach of perfumes, dampness, and the harsh glare of direct sun. Professional dry cleaning is advised to maintain the ethereal luster of the zari and the integrity of the silk. In every thread of Patola, a legacy of craft is preserved.
A Note on Handmade Beauty
No two handcrafted sarees are ever exactly alike. Subtle variations in colour, texture, and finish are part of their charm, the quiet signature of the hands that created them. Colors and textures may also appear slightly different depending on lighting, photography, screen settings, and other viewing conditions.
Every motif tells a story. Every thread carries the artisan's touch. And when you drape it, that story becomes yours.
