Handloom Pure Kanjivaram Tissue Silk Korvai - Straight from Kanchipuram, A Regal Celebration in Brown & Gold, Sona-Rupa Zari Lehriya Brocade

Step into the world of Kanchipuram silk, where centuries-old weaving traditions meet the luminous grandeur of zari. This exquisite Pure Kanjivaram Tissue Silk Korvai saree is a study in regal opulence, pairing a rich deep purple ground with a radiant gold tissue sheen and luxurious Sona-Rupa zari detailing.

The golden tissue body creates a magnificent metallic canvas, while the deep purple Sona-Rupa Zari Lehriya brocade unfolds in graceful, flowing patterns of floral vines. Rich gold zari borders frame the saree, enhancing its luminous character, while the pallu carries the same intricate Lehriya brocade, finished with elegant tassels. The interplay of deep purple, shimmering gold, and silver-toned zari creates a sophisticated grandeur, making it especially suited to weddings and ceremonial occasions.

SILK MARK CERTIFIED

Color - Deep purple Sona-Rupa Zari Lehriya brocade.

Technique - Traditional Korvai weaving, a hallmark of Kanjivaram sarees. It is a distinctive technique that gives Kanjivaram silk sarees their iconic contrasting borders and pallus. Woven on a traditional three-shuttle loom, the saree body and borders are created separately in different silk colours, then meticulously interlocked thread by thread by two skilled weavers working in perfect coordination. This intricate joining process creates a seamless, enduring union between contrasting colours, transforming every Korvai Kanjivaram into a testament to precision, patience, and generations of weaving artistry.

Fabric - Luxurious Kanjivaram silk, with a graceful sheen and a beautiful drape that complements the richness of the zari work.

Craft - Handloom Pure Kanjivaram Tissue Silk Korvai - Straight from Kanchipuram.

Blouse - An unstitched blouse piece in the same fabric as the saree is included.

The Artful Finish - Ready to wear, with fall and pico neatly done. The pallu is completed with handmade silk tassels, adding a graceful final flourish.

Care - Store folded in a soft cotton or muslin cloth and recommended to refold every 3 months. Keep away from perfume, direct sunlight and moisture. Professional dry cleaning is recommended to preserve the richness of silk. When silk becomes heirloom, it becomes Kanjivaram.

A Note on Handmade Beauty

No two handcrafted sarees are ever exactly alike. Subtle variations in colour, texture, embroidery, and finish are part of their charm, the quiet signature of the hands that created them. Colors and textures may also appear slightly different depending on lighting, photography, screen settings, and other viewing conditions.

Every motif tells a story. Every stitch carries the artisan’s touch. And when you drape it, that story becomes yours.
