Korvai Kanjivaram Handloom Silk Saree with Coin Brocade - Straight from Kanchipuram, Multicolor Checks

Step into the world of Kanchipuram silk, where centuries-old weaving traditions meet the timeless grandeur of zari. This exquisite Korvai Kanjivaram saree is a vibrant celebration of colour, pairing a lively multi-hued checked silk body with a rich magenta Korvai border and a lustrous antique-gold zari glow.

The body is woven in a striking checkerboard of blue, mustard, purple, coral, and grey, each square catching the light differently, further embellished with delicately scattered coin-motif zari butis across the grid. The contrasting magenta border is richly woven in warm gold, framed with fine striped detailing, while the pallu unfolds into a magnificent expanse of magenta and gold dense with intricate trellis, floral and paisley motif, bordered by ornamental temple-inspired edges and finished with playful multicolored tasseled fringes echoing the body's palette.

SILK MARK CERTIFIED

Color - A vibrant multicolour checked body with gold coin motif, paired with a rich magenta Korvai border. Adorned with a lustrous golden zari pallu.

Technique - Traditional Korvai weaving, a hallmark of Kanjivaram sarees. It is a distinctive technique that gives Kanjivaram silk sarees their iconic contrasting borders and pallus. Woven on a traditional three-shuttle loom, the saree body and borders are created separately in different silk colours, then meticulously interlocked thread by thread by two skilled weavers working in perfect coordination. This intricate joining process creates a seamless, enduring union between contrasting colours, transforming every Korvai Kanjivaram into a testament to precision, patience, and generations of weaving artistry.

Fabric - Luxurious Kanjivaram silk, with a graceful sheen and a beautiful drape that complements the richness of the zari work. Pure Kanjivaram silk sarees use a heavy, high-quality mulberry silk base.

Craft - Korvai Kanjivaram saree from Kanchipuram.

Blouse - An unstitched blouse piece in the same fabric as the saree is included.

The Artful Finish - Ready to wear, with fall and pico neatly done. The pallu is completed with handmade silk tassels, adding a graceful final flourish.

Care - Store folded in a soft cotton or muslin cloth and recommended to refold every 3 months. Keep away from perfume, direct sunlight and moisture. Professional dry cleaning is recommended to preserve the richness of silk. When silk becomes heirloom, it becomes Kanjivaram.

A Note on Handmade Beauty

No two handcrafted sarees are ever exactly alike. Subtle variations in colour, texture, embroidery, and finish are part of their charm, the quiet signature of the hands that created them. Colors and textures may also appear slightly different depending on lighting, photography, screen settings, and other viewing conditions.

Every motif tells a story. Every stitch carries the artisan’s touch. And when you drape it, that story becomes yours.
