'Vasanta' Yellow and Red Pure Silk Gadwal Handloom Saree

Regular price

$350.00 USD

A Golden Yellow and Rani Pink Weave from Gadwal, Telangana — With Gadwal Silk, heritage is handwoven, thread by thread.

Step into the timeless weaving tradition of Gadwal, Telangana, where cotton once met silk on the loom, and today pure silk itself carries forward a legacy of contrast borders, intricate zari work, and enduring elegance.

This exquisite Gadwal saree is a handloom treasure from Gadwal, near Hyderabad, Telangana, woven entirely in pure silk. Its radiant golden-yellow body is patterned with an exceptionally fine grid-like check, punctuated by delicate rani-pink buta placed at graceful intervals. The vivid rani-pink border and pallu create a striking contrast, richly illuminated with warm gold zari.

The border is particularly elaborate, featuring a procession of traditional floral medallions enclosed within an ornate scrolling vine, woven in gleaming gold zari against the rich pink ground. The pallu unfolds dramatically with a row of large paisley-inspired motifs, followed by intricate zari bands and a magnificent field of repeating chevron patterns. Finished with hand-knotted tassels along the pallu edge, the saree brings together bold color, geometry, and traditional Gadwal artistry.

The Artful Finish - Ready to wear, with fall and pico neatly done.

Care: Store folded in a soft cotton or muslin cloth and recommended to refold every 3 months to prevent creasing at the folds. Keep away from perfume, direct sunlight, and moisture. Dry cleaning is recommended to preserve the zari and the silk.
