A Tissue Border Weave from Gadwal, Telangana - With Gadwal Silk, heritage is handwoven, thread by thread.
Step into the timeless weaving tradition of Gadwal, Telangana, where cotton once met silk on the loom, and today pure silk itself carries forward a legacy of interlocking borders, gleaming zari, and understated elegance.
This exquisite Gadwal saree is a handloom treasure from Gadwal, near Hyderabad, Telangana, woven entirely in pure silk. Its rich teal body is scattered with alternating rows of gold meena buta, round medallions and square motifs, each centered with a small ruby-red dot. The wide tissue gold border and pallu bring luminous contrast, woven entirely in a shimmering gold tissue with a fine diamond lattice.
The border opens with a row of gold zari florals along the inner edge, framed by a triangular temple-point guard in teal and grey, then unfolds into the rich tissue gold ground patterned with a fine diamond lattice and slender floral bands. The pallu is woven entirely in the same luminous tissue gold, finished with a dark green selvedge and bright orange tassels, anchoring the saree in classic Gadwal grandeur.

A Note on Handloom Beauty
No two handloom sarees are ever exactly alike. Subtle variations in the zari tone, weave, and finish are part of their charm, the quiet signature of the loom and the weaver's hand behind each piece. Colors and textures may also appear slightly different depending on lighting, photography, screen settings, and other viewing conditions.
Every check is woven with intent. Every motif carries the weaver's rhythm. And when you drape it, that heritage becomes yours.
