A Dual-Tone Ombre Kanchi Weave from Gadwal, Telangana - With Gadwal Silk, heritage is handwoven, thread by thread.

Step into the timeless weaving tradition of Gadwal, Telangana, where cotton once met silk on the loom, and today pure silk itself carries forward a legacy of interlocking borders, gleaming zari, and understated elegance.

This exquisite Gadwal saree is a handloom treasure from Gadwal, near Hyderabad, Telangana, woven entirely in pure silk. Its body opens in a soft lavender-grey chevron brocade, shifting in an ombre transition into a warm rust-orange diamond brocade dotted with green, an effect achieved entirely on the loom. The wide Kanchipuram-style rust border and pallu bring rich contrast, framed by a checked pink-white guard and densely worked in gold zari peacocks and paisleys.

The kanchi border opens with a row of gold zari peacocks along the inner edge, followed by rows of paisleys, and is framed by a checked guard in pink and white with a dark green selvedge. The pallu carries the same lavender-to-rust ombre body, opening into the grand peacock-paisley border, finished with a vivid magenta band and bright orange tassels, anchoring the saree in rich Gadwal-Kanchi grandeur.

SILK MARK CERTIFIED

Color - Soft lavender-grey shifting into a warm rust-orange, brought alive with gold zari peacocks and paisleys, a pink-white checked guard, and a dark green edge.

Technique - Traditional Gadwal handloom weaving combined with a Kanchipuram-style contrast border. The body is woven in a dual-tone ombre brocade transitioning from a chevron to a diamond dot pattern, while the border and pallu showcase bold gold zari peacocks and paisleys, a striking fusion of two southern weaving traditions.

Fabric - Pure mulberry silk, chosen for its natural sheen, structured drape, and durability, letting the ombre brocade weave and gold zari work stand out with striking clarity.

Craft - A Gadwal handloom masterpiece, woven on the pit loom with a dual-tone ombre brocade body and a rich rust kanchi border - a saree that carries forward centuries of weaving heritage from Telangana.

Blouse - A matching blouse piece in the same rust-orange silk is attached to the saree.

The Artful Finish - Ready to wear, with fall and pico neatly done.

Care: Store folded in a soft cotton or muslin cloth and recommended to refold every 3 months to prevent creasing at the folds. Keep away from perfume, direct sunlight and moisture. Dry cleaning is recommended to preserve the zari and the silk. With Gadwal silk, heritage is handwoven, thread by thread.

A Note on Handloom Beauty

No two handloom sarees are ever exactly alike. Subtle variations in the zari tone, weave, and finish are part of their charm, the quiet signature of the loom and the weaver's hand behind each piece. Colors and textures may also appear slightly different depending on lighting, photography, screen settings, and other viewing conditions.

Every check is woven with intent. Every motif carries the weaver's rhythm. And when you drape it, that heritage becomes yours.
