A Zari Big-Butta Handloom Weave from Gadwal, Telangana - With Gadwal Silk, heritage is handwoven, thread by thread.
Step into the timeless weaving tradition of Gadwal, Telangana, where cotton once met silk on the loom, and today pure silk itself carries forward a legacy of interlocking borders, gleaming zari, and understated elegance.
This exquisite Gadwal saree is a handloom treasure from Gadwal, near Hyderabad, Telangana, woven entirely in pure silk. Its body is woven in a warm peach, patterned all over in a bold zari big-check and scattered with large gold buttas, giving the field a rich, radiant shimmer. The saree opens into a border and pallu in deep violet, framed by a broad multi-line guard in silver, orange, and green, and densely woven with a silver medallion jaal, a hallmark of Gadwal's interlocked-border weaving, giving the saree its striking, regal character.
The border unfolds in a deep violet ground, opening with a broad band of silver medallions set in a fine trellis, framed by crisp pinstripes of silver, burnt orange, and green running the length of the border. The pallu carries the same violet-and-silver medallion weave, bordered by the same multi-line guard, anchoring the saree in rich, traditional Gadwal grandeur. A matching violet blouse piece, patterned with the same big zari check and gold buttas, completes the saree.

A Note on Handloom Beauty
No two handloom sarees are ever exactly alike. Subtle variations in the zari tone, weave, and finish are part of their charm, the quiet signature of the loom and the weaver's hand behind each piece. Colors and textures may also appear slightly different depending on lighting, photography, screen settings, and other viewing conditions.
Every check is woven with intent. Every motif carries the weaver's rhythm. And when you drape it, that heritage becomes yours.
