A Tone-on-Tone Tissue Weave from Gadwal, Telangana - With Gadwal Silk, heritage is handwoven, thread by thread.

Step into the timeless weaving tradition of Gadwal, Telangana, where cotton once met silk on the loom, and today pure silk itself carries forward a legacy of interlocking borders, gleaming zari, and understated elegance.

This exquisite Gadwal saree is a handloom treasure from Gadwal, near Hyderabad, Telangana, woven entirely in pure silk in a soft dove-grey. Its body is scattered delicately with small gold buta, understated and tone-on-tone in its sheen. The pallu unfolds in a luminous tissue, blending gold and silver in soft woven panels.

The pallu is framed by a slender temple-point guard, opening into broad bands of tissue gold and silver that catch the light with quiet richness, entirely free of contrasting colour, letting the interplay of gold and silver zari speak for itself. This restrained, tone-on-tone palette lends the saree an understated, contemporary elegance while remaining rooted in classic Gadwal grandeur.

SILK MARK CERTIFIED

Color - Soft dove-grey paired with a luminous gold and silver tissue, a restrained, tone-on-tone palette.

Technique - Traditional Gadwal handloom weaving; the body is woven with delicate gold buta on a soft grey ground, while the pallu is woven entirely in a blend of gold and silver tissue zari, a refined, contemporary take on the Gadwal weaving tradition from Telangana.

Fabric - Pure mulberry silk, chosen for its natural sheen, structured drape, and durability, letting the tissue gold and silver zari work stand out with quiet richness.

Craft - A Gadwal handloom masterpiece, woven on the pit loom with a subtly buta'd grey body and a luminous gold-silver tissue pallu - a saree that carries forward the weaving heritage of Telangana in a modern, understated palette.

Blouse - A matching blouse piece in the same dove-grey silk is attached to the saree.

The Artful Finish - Ready to wear, with fall and pico neatly done.

Care: Store folded in a soft cotton or muslin cloth and recommended to refold every 3 months to prevent creasing at the folds. Keep away from perfume, direct sunlight and moisture. Dry cleaning is recommended to preserve the zari and the silk. With Gadwal silk, heritage is handwoven, thread by thread.

A Note on Handloom Beauty

No two handloom sarees are ever exactly alike. Subtle variations in the zari tone, weave, and finish are part of their charm, the quiet signature of the loom and the weaver's hand behind each piece. Colors and textures may also appear slightly different depending on lighting, photography, screen settings, and other viewing conditions.

Every check is woven with intent. Every motif carries the weaver's rhythm. And when you drape it, that heritage becomes yours.
