A Brocade Handloom Weave from Gadwal, Telangana - With Gadwal Silk, heritage is handwoven, thread by thread.

Step into the timeless weaving tradition of Gadwal, Telangana, where cotton once met silk on the loom, and today pure silk itself carries forward a legacy of dense brocade borders, gleaming zari, and understated elegance.

This exquisite Gadwal saree is a handloom treasure from Gadwal, near Hyderabad, Telangana, woven entirely in pure silk. Its body is woven in a soft cream, left graceful and understated to let the richly brocaded border and pallu take centre stage. The saree opens into a wide, heavily brocaded border and pallu in warm grey, densely woven all over in a fine gold zari jaal, a hallmark of Gadwal's brocade weaving, giving the saree its opulent, festive character. A slender coral-red piping traces the outer edge of the saree.

The border unfolds in a dense gold brocade ground, opening above the pallu into a row of paired paisley medallions worked alternately in gold and silver zari, set off by a fine grey band. Below this runs a border of gold ovals, a diagonal trellis strip, and a row of gold roundels, then the deep brocaded pallu itself, woven all over in a fine gold diamond jaal. The outer selvedge on both sides carries a rich gold floral-vine border on the same warm grey ground, edged with the coral piping, anchoring the saree in lavish, traditional Gadwal grandeur.

SILK MARK CERTIFIED

Color - A soft cream body opening into a warm grey, densely brocaded border and pallu in gold and silver zari, edged with a slender coral-red piping.

Technique - Traditional Gadwal handloom weaving, known for its distinctive interlocked border technique, where the body and the heavily brocaded border are woven separately on the loom and joined together with a fine, near-invisible seam, a signature of true Gadwal craftsmanship.

Fabric - Pure mulberry silk, chosen for its natural sheen, crisp structured drape, and durability, letting the gold-and-silver paisley medallions and the dense zari jaal of the border stand out with striking clarity.

Craft - A Gadwal handloom masterpiece, woven on the pit loom with an interlocked brocade border, paisley medallions, and a floral-vine guard band, a saree that carries forward centuries of weaving heritage from Telangana.

Blouse - A matching blouse piece in the same brocaded fabric is attached to the saree.

The Artful Finish - Ready to wear, with fall and pico neatly done.

Care: Store folded in a soft cotton or muslin cloth and recommended to refold every 3 months to prevent creasing at the folds. Keep away from perfume, direct sunlight and moisture. Dry cleaning is recommended to preserve the zari and the silk. With Gadwal silk, heritage is handwoven, thread by thread.

A Note on Handloom Beauty

No two handloom sarees are ever exactly alike. Subtle variations in the zari tone, weave, and finish are part of their charm, the quiet signature of the loom and the weaver's hand behind each piece. Colors and textures may also appear slightly different depending on lighting, photography, screen settings, and other viewing conditions.

Every check is woven with intent. Every motif carries the weaver's rhythm. And when you drape it, that heritage becomes yours.
