A Paithani Peacock Weave from Gadwal, Telangana - With Gadwal Silk, heritage is handwoven, thread by thread.

Step into the timeless weaving tradition of Gadwal, Telangana, where cotton once met silk on the loom, and today pure silk itself carries forward a legacy of interlocking borders, gleaming zari, and understated elegance.

This exquisite Gadwal saree is a handloom treasure from Gadwal, near Hyderabad, Telangana, woven entirely in pure silk in a rich coffee brown. Its body is scattered all over with small gold buta, while the border is framed by a row of gold zari peacock medallions in the Paithani style, a hallmark of this special weave.

The pallu unfolds into a lustrous gold field, framed by delicate guards of tiny red and green diamonds, and filled with pairs of Paithani-style peacocks rendered in vivid blue, pink, and green, facing each other amid the golden ground. Finished with a deep violet fringe, the pallu brings together the best of Gadwal's handloom weaving and the celebrated Paithani peacock motif.

SILK MARK CERTIFIED

Color - Rich coffee brown paired with a lustrous gold pallu, brought alive with Paithani peacocks in blue, pink, and green, and framed by red and green diamond guards.

Technique - Traditional Gadwal handloom weaving combined with the celebrated Paithani peacock motif. The body is woven with an allover gold buta, the border with peacock medallions, and the pallu with pairs of colorful Paithani peacocks on a golden zari ground, a striking fusion of two renowned weaving traditions.

Fabric - Pure mulberry silk, chosen for its natural sheen, structured drape, and durability, letting the buta and peacock zari work stand out with striking clarity.

Craft - A Gadwal handloom masterpiece, woven on the pit loom with a coffee brown buta body and a resplendent Paithani peacock pallu - a saree that brings together two celebrated weaving traditions of India.

Blouse - A matching blouse piece in the same coffee brown silk is attached to the saree.

The Artful Finish - Ready to wear, with fall and pico neatly done.

Care - Store folded in a soft cotton or muslin cloth and recommended to refold every 3 months to prevent creasing at the folds. Keep away from perfume, direct sunlight and moisture. Dry cleaning is recommended to preserve the zari and the silk. With Gadwal silk, heritage is handwoven, thread by thread.

A Note on Handloom Beauty

No two handloom sarees are ever exactly alike. Subtle variations in the zari tone, weave, and finish are part of their charm, the quiet signature of the loom and the weaver's hand behind each piece. Colors and textures may also appear slightly different depending on lighting, photography, screen settings, and other viewing conditions.

Every check is woven with intent. Every motif carries the weaver's rhythm. And when you drape it, that heritage becomes yours.
